To act as mediators in the organization of a gala dinner for world cruise passengers on Gorée Island. Communicating the client’s vision to local producers in a culturally and logistically complex context in West Africa, ensuring a high-level experience for VIP guests and guaranteeing the success of an exclusive event in a historical fort.
Prelude Events coordinated all production details, managing communication between client and suppliers, ensuring deadlines quality and standards were met. Acting as the bridge between expectations and local realities, a team of 200 people was mobilized to build the event from scratch on an island with no facilities, turning the challenge into a human adventure.
The evening featured the island’s historical women welcoming guests, followed by sunset cocktails and dinner with storytellers. Kora players and an Afro folk diva creating an authentic and seamless experience.
Passengers were delighted by the serene atmosphere and attention to detail, while discovering local culture through music, food and history. The night culminated with fireworks, illuminating the island for the first time in twenty years, creating a shared sense of pride among all participants, from artists to suppliers. The client received excellent feedback from guests and renewed their trust in Prelude for future events.
