Gala dinner: Carmen comes home

Close
Objective

Create an exclusive one-night cultural experience that seamlessly blended classical artistry, custom-made design, and emotional storytelling as part of a gala dinner evening. Conceived specifically for this occasion, the performance featured a reimagined rendition of the legendary Carmen Suite, presented exclusively for Silversea’s 2022 World Cruise guests.

Execution

After five years of creative development and collaboration, Carmen Comes Home emerged as a fully custom-made production, conceived, choreographed, and staged exclusively for this event.

Under Calero’s artistic direction, two acclaimed Cuban choreographers shaped a ballet blending passion, discipline, and cultural authenticity. In partnership with LaFACT, the renowned cultural foundation based in Terrassa, and with the Vallès Symphonic Orchestra reinterpreting Rodion Shchedrin’s iconic score, the piece achieved a refined balance between tradition and innovation.

Prelude Events

For one extraordinary evening, Seville’s La Cartuja Center was transformed into Carmen’s legendary tobacco factory, with the space fully redesigned to immerse guests in the sounds, colors, and atmosphere of Andalusia.
